Role & responsibilities

  • Ensure on-time procurement of materials aligned with production and inventory plans.
  • Monitor material requirement forecasts and convert them into actionable purchase orders.
  • Coordinate closely with production, planning, avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Identify and resolve supply bottlenecks, delays, or quality issues with vendors.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure responsiveness and reliability.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and contracts to optimize cost and lead time.
  • Track and report procurement KPIs including OTIF (On-Time In-Full), lead times, and supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace standards (AS9100), import regulations, and internal controls.
  • Incorporate LEAN concepts in purchasing
  • Strong knowledge of regional MHR / costing structure of suppliers.
  • Well versed with purchasing activities required for Indirect, services etc.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Preferred MBA in SCM & Operations
  • Proven experience in aerospace or defense procurement.
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical / Electrical
  • Strong command of SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with import documentation, BOE filing, and logistics coordination.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
