We are seeking a proactive and experienced Legal Associate to lead our in-house legal team. This leadership role involves overseeing legal operations, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring robust legal compliance across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Indian corporate law, contract law, and regulatory frameworks, along with proven leadership and strategic advisory capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the legal team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of legal services.
  • Oversee drafting, review, and negotiation of commercial contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, MOUs, and internal policies.
  • Ensure company-wide compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Supervise legal due diligence, board meeting documentation, and corporate secretarial work in coordination with the Company Secretary team.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to senior management on regulatory and legal developments.
  • Maintain and oversee legal records, contracts database, and compliance tracker.
  • Liaise with external counsels, consultants, and government/regulatory authorities.
  • Manage legal notices, litigation tracking, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in company law, labour laws, data protection, and other relevant regulations.
  • Train and mentor junior legal associates and foster a culture of legal awareness across departments.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • LL.B. degree from a recognized university (LL.M. or CS qualification is a plus).
  • 4–6 years of legal experience, preferably in a corporate legal department or reputed law firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Companies Act, Contract Act, labour laws, and corporate regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office, legal databases, and document management systems.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving mindset.
