Facility AM/Manager Job Description

Role Objective:

To ensure the efficient, safe, and compliant functioning of all bank premises, facilities, and infrastructure by overseeing maintenance, security, housekeeping, vendor management, and branch infrastructure projects. The role requires a technically sound professional capable of preventive maintenance planning, vendor coordination, and process optimization across multiple branches.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day facility operations across branches, including maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and civil infrastructure.
  • Ensure smooth functioning of HVAC, DG sets, UPS, fires safety, and surveillance systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers for timely and quality service delivery.
  • Conduct periodic inspections of branches and offices to assess upkeep, safety, and maintenance needs.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and safety regulations, including fire and electrical safety audits.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external agencies for infrastructure upgrades, repairs, and branch expansion/relocation projects.
  • Plan and monitor facility budgets, AMC renewals, and cost control measures.
  • Supervise housekeeping, pest control, and sanitation services to maintain a professional work environment.
  • Manage and maintain asset inventory and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
  • Handle emergency facility-related incidents and ensure timely resolution.
  • Drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (mandatory).
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in the banking or financial sector.
  • Sound knowledge of technical systems (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with vendor management, budgeting, and maintenance planning.
  • Familiarity with audit and compliance processes related to facilities.
