Analyst - Economic Research – CoRe Research & Insights – Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited

The team supports Deloitte's leaders with strategic insights to enable their go-to-market strategies, eminence agenda, and impact on our clients.

Work you'll do

• Analyze and interpret economic data, macroeconomic trends, and policies to inform stakeholders.
• Support the development of economic insights and models for macroeconomic outlook reports, which can be used to inform Deloitte's business development, client engagement, practice development, or eminence agendas.
• Maintain and use basic economic models to analyze complex data, forecast, and deliver actionable insights.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in macroeconomic, monetary, and fiscal policies of key countries.
• Use charts, graphs, and other visualization techniques to simplify and communicate complex economic data effectively.
• Utilize fundamental econometric concepts to analyze cross-sectional and time series datasets.

Core Skills Required

• Basic understanding of macroeconomic concepts such as inflation, trade, tariffs, balance of payments, with a willingness to learn and deepen knowledge.
• Familiarity with economic modelling and basic techniques (regression analysis, testing hypothesis, etc.)
• Awareness of current macroeconomic trends and their relevance to business and professional services, with the ability to conduct research and summarize findings.
• Interest in interdisciplinary studies (e.g. climate change, social issues, and technology disruptions.)
• Familiarity with major global economic databases (e.g., OECD, World Bank, IMF) and ability to extract and organize relevant data for analysis.
• Participate in ideation & execution of new frameworks, models, and techniques that help in building team's eminence.

Business Writing And Communication Skills

• Strong business writing and report writing skills—narrative, appealing, and succinct.
• Adept at written communication with stakeholders in adherence to email etiquette.
• Communication should reflect logical thinking and a consultative approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or Developmental studies with 2-4 years of experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Awareness of Generative AI tools. Exposure to prompt engineering is an added advantage.
