Key responsibilities

  • Student guidance:
    Conduct individual counseling sessions to understand a student's academic background, goals, and preferences to suggest the right courses, universities, and countries.
  • Application assistance:
    Guide students through the entire application process, including preparing and submitting materials to international institutions.
  • Visa support:
    Advise and assist students with the visa application process, ensuring they meet all requirements.
  • Test preparation:
    Coordinate test preparation efforts, which may include scheduling and providing resources for exams like IELTS or TOEFL.
  • Information and updates:
    Stay current on visa regulations, admission criteria, and scholarship opportunities in different countries.
  • Workshop and events:
    Organize and conduct informational sessions and workshops for students interested in studying abroad.

Qualifications and skills

  • Education:
    A bachelor's degree is often required, with fields like education, counseling, or international relations being common. Some roles may prefer postgraduate qualifications or certifications.
  • Experience:
    A minimum of 2-3 year of experience in a similar role is frequently requested.
  • Communication:
    Excellent communication skills are crucial. Fluency in English is a must, and proficiency in other languages can be a significant advantage.
  • Interpersonal skills:
    A pleasing personality, confidence, and the ability to handle pressure are important.
  • Knowledge:
    A deep understanding of the overseas education system, university admission requirements, and visa processes is essential.
