Role and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Counselor to join our prestigious skincare and beauty academy. The Academic Counselor will be responsible for guiding prospective students through the admission process, providing academic and career counseling, and ensuring that students receive the necessary support to excel in their skincare education. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in academic advising, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping individuals achieve their educational and career goals in the skincare industry.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Student Admissions
  • To meet sales revenue and admission Targets
  • To promote the institute and its courses & ensure proper handling of walk-ins, counseling prospective students, and Converting inquiries to registrations
  • Provide personalized academic and career counseling to prospective and current students.
  • Assist students in selecting appropriate skincare programs based on their interests, skills, and career aspirations.
  • Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions to address students' concerns and provide guidance on academic and personal matters.
  • Admissions Support:
  • Assist prospective students through the admissions process, including application submission, document verification, and interview scheduling.
  • Organize and participate in recruitment events, open houses, and orientations to attract new students to the academy.
  • Collaborate with the admissions team to ensure a seamless and positive experience for applicants.
  • Academic Support:
  • Monitor students' academic progress and provide necessary interventions to support their success.
  • Collaborate with faculty members to identify students who may need additional academic assistance or tutoring services.
  • Conduct workshops and seminars on study skills, time management, and other topics to enhance students' learning experiences.
  • Career Guidance:
  • Stay updated on industry trends and career opportunities in the skincare field.
  • Provide guidance on internships, job placements, and entrepreneurial opportunities to graduating students.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with skincare industry professionals and employers to facilitate job placements for graduates.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of student interactions, counseling sessions, and academic progress.
  • Generate reports on student retention, graduation rates, and other relevant metrics for management review.

Candidate Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years in Counseling, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in academic advising or counseling, preferably in the education or skincare /Beauty industry.
  • Experience in meeting sales and admission targets
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proficiency in using counseling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Empathetic, patient, and supportive attitude toward students.

Location: Bangalore Salary: 8 to 11 LPA
