Langscape is a known translation company in India and it has launched Ailaysa, a AI translation platform. With 25 years of high stand in the Indian language market, we are expanding. We hire translation and localization project managers and coordinators with strong knowledge in both translation project management and software localization project management in a reputed translation agency / LSP.

It's an onsite job. Only those who are willing to relocate to Chennai would be considered for the job.

Translation / Localization Project Manager

Position responsibilities:

  • Manage the entire life-cycle of translation and localization projects
  • Manage, follow and educate the customers on the project scope, flow and deliverables.
  • Prepare quotes and deadlines for the customers
  • Excellent client management and support in every stage of the project and conducting online meetings with the customers to assess the projects and attend any issues.
  • Identify and negotiate deadlines and rates with vendors
  • Continuous vendor search and vendor nurturing.
  • Managing projects through different project management tools depends upon the client's project environment or our own.
  • Perform quality checks at various stages of process to ensure quality and accuracy (proofreading, final eye...)
  • Managing cost and margins in any project. Reporting the project financials to the finance department and vetting vendor invoices for further processing.

Essential skills and experience required:

  • Excellent communication (spoken and written) in English, and one or more Indian languages, experience in communicating with global customers is an asset.
  • Previous experience as a professional translator in any language is a big plus.
  • Strong customer service, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Any degree.

  • Minimum 2-3 year of professional experience in Translation Project Management, Localization Project Management or Coordination position in a corporate environment or LSP

  • Multitasking and flexible in timing to meet global deadlines.

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Independence in carrying out assigned tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly developed computer skills (Beyond MS Office, Windows)
  • Experience with CAT tools is MUST (Trados, MemoQ and online tools like Crowdin, XTM), QA tools like Xbench
  • Experience in managing MTPE projects and AI Data projects is desirable
