What you'll do:
Responsibilities:
- Strong understanding of LAN and WLAN networking protocols and technologies, including switching, routing and security is required..
- Provide expert-level support for complex network issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve problems promptly.
- hands-on experience with Aruba Central, Security Service Edge (SSE), and ClearPass, focusing on network security, wireless infrastructure, and network management solutions.
- Perform initial diagnosis and basic troubleshooting of:
- Port connectivity issues
- -Link flaps
- Device status (up/down)
- Coordinate with vendors or OEM TAC (Aruba/HPE) for RMA or known issue identification when instructed.
- Support routine tasks such as patch management, backups, and firmware checks under supervision
- Assist in maintaining physical network infrastructure (cable checks, LED status, console access, etc.).
- Stay updated on Aruba OS-CX CLI basics and assist in minor configuration verifications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in troubleshooting in a technical environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Software and hardware knowledge of Vmware ,computing and storage
- Able to lead resolution activities with escalated customers.
- Ability to mentor new agents and contribute to technical action plans.
- Help in root cause analysis of defects/issues and facilitate product release/roll-out
- ·Work closely with development teams to identify and resolve problem
Knowledge and Skills:
- Aruba CX 8325
- Switching: VLANs (802.1Q, VTP), DHCP, multicast, L2/L3, aggregation techniques, spanning tree (PVST+), LACP, etc.
- Routing: OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VRF, EIGRP, route policies
- Security: 802.1x, NAC, radius, TACACS+, ACL's, etc.Linux/ Solutions,
- Virtualization (VMware) with NSX- preferable
- Good knowledge on Operating systems,
Business Skills:
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate business judgment, decision making skills, negotiating skills, time-resource management, complex problem solving, in-depth product knowledge, creativity, teamwork, knowledge of quality processes, political astuteness and sensitivity in dealing with diverse cultures and ability to learn quickly.
- Experience in interacting/Supporting Level 1 Support teams and customers
- Must be a team player and show ability and willingness to motivate and support other engineers
What you need to bring:
Education and Experience Required:
- ·Good understanding of the Networking (Routing and switching) across multivendor solutions. In addition experience delivering Professional services in the IT infrastructure domain is preferred.
- Industry Experience 5-8 years in managing the aspects of remote delivery in the professional services delivery
- In-depth knowledge of Aruba Network switches, features, and functionalities.
- Work on end-to-end solutions for enterprise campus and data center networks, incorporating Aruba's CX 8325 switches. Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex storage-related issues.
- Well recognized industry certification beneficial, ACMX, CCIE/CWNP preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
