About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Sales & Soft Skills Trainer with experience in the BFSI sector, specifically from stock broking, insurance, or wealth management companies.
The ideal candidate will help enhance the sales effectiveness, client engagement, and communication skills of our business development and relationship management teams.
This role is key to ensuring our teams are confident, professional, and equipped to drive business growth in a competitive financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Training & Development:
Design and deliver training programs on sales techniques, client relationship
management, negotiation, communication, and soft skills specifically tailored for
broking or insurance professionals.
Develop real-world scenarios, role-plays, and case studies from stock broking,
insurance, and wealth management contexts to make training practical and impactful.
Conduct regular workshops, interactive sessions, and one-on-one coaching for
both new hires and experienced staff.
Continuously update training materials to reflect market trends, regulatory
changes, and product updates in the BFSI sector.
Sales & Business Development Training:
Build programs to enhance skills in lead generation, client acquisition,
upselling/cross-selling, and consultative selling within broking or insurance
operations.
Coach teams on effective communication, emotional intelligence, client handling,
and objection management.
Track and measure training effectiveness using performance metrics, client
feedback, and sales outcomes.
Content Creation & Program Management:
Collaborate with business heads and subject matter experts to identify training
needs and design content relevant to broking or insurance operations.
Use multiple training methodologies: in-person workshops, e-learning, webinars,
and experiential activities.
Manage the end-to-end training lifecycle, from needs analysis to post-training
evaluation.
Knowledge & Expertise:
Stay updated on broking markets, insurance products, and wealth management
solutions.
Act as a mentor and coach, providing ongoing guidance to improve sales
performance and client servicing.
Translate technical knowledge of financial products into practical client-facing
skills for sales teams.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: 5 – 9 years in sales/soft skills training within broking, insurance, or
BFSI companies. Experience in stock broking or insurance sales teams is highly
preferred.
Education: Graduate or Post-graduate degree in Finance, Business Administration,
Commerce, HR, or related fields.
Training Skills: Proven ability to design and deliver engaging, practical training
programs. Excellent presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills.
Sales Acumen: Strong understanding of sales processes, client engagement, and
business development strategies in BFSI.
Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Mumbai.
