Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Scheduling

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans in line with customer orders and sales forecasts.
  • Schedule production activities by coordinating with production, purchase, and stores.
  • Optimize utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.

Material Planning & Coordination

  • Coordinate with the purchase and stores team for timely availability of raw materials, consumables, and packaging materials.
  • Monitor stock levels and raise material requisitions as required.
  • Support supply chain for vendor follow-ups to ensure timely material delivery.

Monitoring & Control

  • Track actual production vs. plan and take corrective actions in case of delays or deviations.
  • Maintain production-related data, reports, and consumption records.
  • Coordinate with quality team to ensure adherence to product standards and specifications.

Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare and share daily/weekly/monthly MIS on production status, material consumption, and order execution.
  • Report any bottlenecks, capacity constraints, or material shortages to management.
  • Support cost control and productivity improvement initiatives.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and material management.
  • Excellent in Ms word & Excel
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/SAP for production and inventory modules.
  • Strong coordination and communication abilities across departments.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Educational Qualification & Experience

  • B.Tech / BE (Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering) or MBA in Operations.
  • 8 years of experience in production planning & control (in manufacturing industry).
