Quality Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Quality Manager to join our Brand SIA (Steel Infra Agro). If you are a quality-driven professional with a passion for collaboration and creating a culture of excellence, this is the perfect opportunity for you You will work alongside a team of Quality Engineers to ensure the highest quality standards through process-oriented approaches. Your expertise in PPAP, QC Tools, CAPA, Defect Analysis, and Control Plans will be instrumental in maintaining and improving our products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Planning: Develop and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with industry standards (e.g., ISO Create and execute quality plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and project-specific quality procedures.
• Raw Material Inspection: Conduct inspections and testing of incoming raw materials, including steel plates, sections, and fasteners, to ensure they meet specified standards and project requirements.
• In-Process Inspection: Monitor and inspect all stages of the fabrication process, including cutting, welding, drilling, and painting, to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Welding Quality Control: Oversee welding procedures and qualifications. Perform visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections (e.g., magnetic particle testing, ultrasonic testing) to ensure weld quality and integrity.
• Dimension & Fit-up Inspection: Conduct dimensional checks and fit-up inspections of fabricated components to ensure they meet specified tolerances and will assemble correctly on-site.
• Protective Coating Inspection: Monitor and inspect surface preparation and application of protective coatings (e.g., primer, paint) to ensure proper thickness, adhesion, and finish as per project specifications.
• Final Inspection & Documentation: Conduct final inspections of finished components before dispatch. Prepare and maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including inspection reports, material test certificates, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
• Site Support: Provide quality-related support to the site erection team, including conducting site audits, addressing quality issues, and ensuring proper handling and installation of PEB components.
• Non-Conformance Management: Identify and document non-conformities, investigate root causes, and work with relevant teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Continuous Improvement: Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement. Implement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce rework, and improve efficiency.
• Training: Conduct training for production and quality personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in quality assurance and process improvement.
• Proficiency in PPAP, QC Tools, CAPA, Defect Analysis, and Control Plans.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and foster a culture of quality.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and delivering high-quality results.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field.
• Additional certifications in Quality Management Systems (QMS), Six Sigma, or similar are a plus.

Preferable Candidates:
