Design & Equipment Engineering

  • Design and selection of mechanical equipment (pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, reactors).
  • Ensure mechanical integrity of pressure vessels, pipelines, and rotating equipment.
  • Support plant layout and piping design in coordination with process engineers.

Maintenance & Reliability

  • Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance for mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor equipment performance and suggest upgrades or replacements.
  • Ensure reliability engineering practices to reduce downtime and improve asset life.

Project Execution

  • Support capital projects from concept to commissioning.
  • Prepare technical specifications and review vendor drawings.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors during installation and commissioning.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with mechanical safety standards (ASME, API, IS codes).
  • Participate in HAZOP and risk assessments for mechanical systems.
  • Support statutory inspections and liaise with regulatory bodies.

Energy & Efficiency

  • Identify energy-saving opportunities in mechanical systems.
  • Optimize utility systems like steam, chilled water, and compressed air.
  • Implement mechanical modifications to improve process efficiency.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain equipment history records, manuals, and drawings.
  • Prepare reports on breakdowns, maintenance KPIs, and improvement actions.
  • Support audits and internal reviews with mechanical data and analysis.
