Description
Experience with architecting, building, implementing and managing Data platforms On Prem or On Cloud, covering ingestion (Batch and Real time), processing (Batch and Realtime), Polyglot Storage, Data Analytics and Data Access.

Good understanding of Data Governance, Data Security, Data Compliance, Data Quality, Meta Data Management, Master Data Management, Data Catalog.

Proven understanding and demonstrable implementation experience of big data platform technologies on cloud (AWS/Azure) including surrounding services like IAM, SSO, Cluster monitoring, Log Analytics, etc.

Experience working with Enterprise Data Warehouse technologies, Multi-Dimensional Data Modeling, Data Architectures or other work related to the construction of enterprise data assets.

Strong Experience implementing ETL/ELT processes and building data pipelines including workflow management, job scheduling and monitoring.

Strong experience with data modeling and schema design.

Strong SQL programming background.

Experience to drive solution/enterprise level architecture, collaborate with other tech leads.

Good communication skills.

Experience in architecting and implementing a Data Fabric to create a unified data landscape that supports a variety of data consumers and business use cases.

Deep knowledge of tools and technologies that form the core of a Data Fabric, including data catalogs, data virtualization, and data mesh principles.

Demonstrated ability to lead a team in building a distributed data architecture that prioritizes discoverability, security, and a single, unified view of data.

Required Skills & Qualifications
7-10 years of experience in data architecture or a related leadership role.

Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse, or Databricks, Data Fabric

Proven experience in designing and implementing a Lakehouse architecture.

Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices (e.g., RBAC, data masking).

Expertise in both batch and real-time data processing and modeling techniques.

Experience with modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

Preferred/Good-to-Have
Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Purview.

Familiarity with event-driven architecture and microservices design patterns.

Certification in a relevant cloud technology (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate).
