L3 Operations Consultant

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced L3 Operations Consultant with deep expertise in Azure Cloud, Microsoft 365, and enterprise IT infrastructure. This role is a senior-level technical position responsible for providing escalation support, advanced troubleshooting, and technical advisory services to enterprise clients primarily in the US region.

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience across Azure IaaS/PaaS, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and hybrid cloud environments, along with strong automation and scripting capabilities. This position involves both incident management and proactive system optimization, ensuring reliability, security, and operational excellence across cloud and on-prem infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

- Serve as the final escalation point for complex incidents and service requests across Azure, Microsoft 365, and on-prem infrastructure.

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve advanced configuration and performance issues in cloud and hybrid environments.

- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring or high-impact issues and drive corrective actions.

- Handle break-fix, change management, and incident response tasks following ITIL processes.

- Collaborate with Microsoft support and third-party vendors when required.

- Manage and support Azure IaaS/PaaS workloads including provisioning, scaling, and troubleshooting.

- Create and maintain ARM templates, Azure Policies, and RBAC roles for resource automation and compliance.

- Administer Azure AD, including Conditional Access, Identity Governance, and Hybrid Identity (AD Connect).

- Implement and maintain Backup & Disaster Recovery solutions using Azure Recovery Services Vault, ASR, etc.

- Optimize cost, performance, and security across Azure resources.

- Provide L3-level support for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.

- Manage security and compliance features DLP, retention policies, and MFA.

- Troubleshoot email flow, authentication, and synchronization issues.

- Automate and streamline administrative tasks using PowerShell scripting.

- Maintain and support Windows Server environments including ADDS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and IIS roles.

- Perform patching, hardening, and performance tuning.

- Troubleshoot network connectivity, routing, firewall, and TCP/IP-related issues using packet capture and diagnostic tools (Wireshark, etc.).

- Manage hybrid setups connecting on-prem infrastructure with Azure services.

- Develop and maintain automation workflows using PowerShell, Azure Automation, and Logic Apps.

- Automate repetitive operational tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

- Participate in DevOps/MLOps integration initiatives for infrastructure automation and CI/CD processes.

- Act as a technical advisor to customers recommending solutions for improved reliability, scalability, and security.

- Contribute to operational documentation, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

- Support new customer onboarding, migration, and transition projects.

- Participate in on-call rotation, providing 24x7 escalation support when required.

- Mentor and guide L1/L2 engineers in handling complex incidents, automation tasks, and technical best practices.

- Conduct technical training sessions and contribute to continuous skill development within the operations team.
