Position Title: Manager-Purchase Packing Materials

Location: Andheri East , opposite Metro Station on Western Express Highway,Mumbai

Job Role: Planning, Procurement & Source Development of Packaging Materials

Role Purpose :

Cost-effectiveose : Cost effective Procurement of Packing Material with zero stock out and zero quality complaints.

Duties and Responsibilities:

On receipt of Domestic RSP/International Sales Orders derive Packing Material requirement as per BOM. Float enquiries to existing approved vendors, receive offers, prepare comparative statements, initiate first round of negotiation and in consultation with the HOD release Purchase Orders.

Maximum use of ARIBA for automated procurement.

Develop new sources wherever necessary

Carry out vendor analysis and ranking periodically

Visit Vendors and Factory periodically to improve collaboration.

Facilitate running of MRP and ensure the cleaning of records relating to Purchase Orders and item masters.

Ensure zero stock out by effective planning and coordination with vendors as well as plants.

Preparation of the Monthly MIS for packaging material

Providing the Packing Material per kg cost to the marketing team

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE :

Minimum 10-15 years of working experience in the Packing Purchase department, preferably in a Manufacturing organisation. Experience in Agrochemical companies will be an added advantage.

Should be familiar with SAP and conversant in system-driven activities.

Qualification :

BSC and Engineering Degree from the premier Packaging Institute
