Job Description: Collection & Recovery Executive / Intern – Royalty Recovery (Fashion TV Franchise Vertical)

Location: Santacruz (West), Mumbai

Reporting To: Head – Finance / Franchise Operations

Job Summary

The Collection & Recovery Executive / Intern will be responsible for managing and recovering royalty dues from Fashion TV luxury retail franchise outlets across India. The role focuses on ensuring timely collection of royalty payments, minimizing revenue leakage, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting structured recovery for overdue franchise accounts while preserving premium brand relationships.

Key Responsibilities
1. Royalty Collection & Payment Monitoring

  • Track and monitor royalty receivables from Fashion TV luxury retail franchise outlets.

  • Maintain updated records of royalty agreements, payment schedules, and due dates.

  • Ensure timely issuance of royalty invoices as per franchise contracts.

  • Monitor daily/monthly outstanding reports and identify overdue accounts.

2. Follow-Up & Recovery Management

  • Conduct systematic follow-ups through calls, emails, and formal communications for royalty recovery.

  • Implement structured escalation procedures for delayed or default royalty payments.

  • Engage with franchise partners to ensure adherence to contractual payment obligations.

  • Facilitate negotiated settlements or payment plans where required, subject to management approval.

3. Legal & Escalation Support

  • Assist in preparing royalty recovery notices, reminders, and demand letters.

  • Coordinate with Legal and Franchise Management teams for critical or chronic defaulters.

  • Maintain documentation for potential legal actions, arbitration, or contractual enforcement.

  • Ensure proper tracking of escalated franchise accounts and recovery progress.

4. Documentation & MIS Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and organized records of collections, outstanding royalties, and communication logs.

  • Prepare MIS reports including:

    • Royalty Aging Reports

    • Collection Performance Reports

    • Defaulter Listing

    • Payment Commitment Tracking

  • Provide recovery status updates to senior management on a periodic basis.

5. Franchise Relationship Management

  • Maintain professional communication with franchise partners while enforcing recovery discipline.

  • Address queries regarding royalty calculations, payment terms, and contractual clauses.

  • Ensure recovery practices align with Fashion TV's premium brand image and franchise standards.

  • Support relationship continuity while safeguarding financial interests of the company.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Management, or related field.

  • Law background or exposure to franchise agreements is an added advantage.

  • Fresher to 2 years of experience in collections, royalty recovery, or accounts receivable.

  • Experience with franchise or retail luxury brands preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and persuasion capabilities.

  • Clear and professional verbal & written communication.

  • Good understanding of royalty structures and franchise billing systems.

  • Proficient in MS Excel and basic accounting software.

  • Ability to meet recovery targets and deadlines under pressure.

  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
