The Purchase Executive is responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services required for the college's daily operations. This includes identifying vendors, negotiating prices, issuing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery. The role ensures cost-effective and timely procurement while adhering to the college's procurement policies and standards.

· Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and vendors for quality goods and services.

· Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate terms to ensure cost efficiency.

· Prepare and issue purchase orders based on approved requisitions.

· Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor details.

· Coordinate with various departments (labs, library, admin, etc.) to understand their procurement needs.

· Track and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.

· Inspect and verify quality and quantity of delivered items.

· Maintain inventory levels and initiate replenishment when required.

· Follow up on invoices and coordinate with the accounts department for payment processing.

· Ensure procurement activities comply with college policies, regulations, and budget limits.

· Prepare and submit periodic procurement reports to management.

· Handle any discrepancies or issues with vendors regarding products, delivery, or billing.

· Assist in annual stock audits and inventory reconciliation.

· Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.

· 1–3 years of experience in procurement or purchase operations (preferably in an educational institution or similar sector).

· Strong negotiation and communication skills.

· Knowledge of procurement procedures and documentation.

· Familiarity with inventory management and ERP systems is an added advantage.

· Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word).

· Good organizational and time-management skills.

· Integrity, attention to detail, and a results-driven mindset.

Working Conditions:

· Full-time, on-site role.

· May require occasional travel for vendor visits or material verification.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15, ₹20,000.00 per month
