Inviting applications for the role of [Payroll Administrator (UK)- Assistant Manager]
In this role, [In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll administration for UK employees, ensuring all statutory requirements are met, and maintaining accurate payroll records.]
Responsibilities
● Accurate and timely data entry and checking of various payrolls in collaboration with other departments within News UK and other Group Companies, while adhering to company policy and controls, legislation and best practice
● Produce periodic payroll reports
● Answering payroll queries raised by employees and various departments within News UK, Wireless and other Group Companies.
● Manually calculate gross adjustments and statutory absence pay
● Assist with proactive confirmation of expected clearing of payroll journals on GL reconciliations
● Update cash forecast for each payroll net pay and taxes for the Treasury team
● Prepare payment requisition for payments to payroll vendors, benefits service providers and other statutory administration charges
● Reconciliation of payroll records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
● Be responsible for the reconciliation of the payroll related balance sheet accounts inclusive of ensuring all GL's accurately reflect the payroll position
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications
● Any Bachelor's degree, Post Graduation or Commerce (mandatory)
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
● SAP ECC 6 system payroll data entry and reporting
● Fast and accurate data entry, with excellent attention to detail
● To manage priorities while working to sensitive payroll deadlines and collaborate at all levels across the business
● Good Excel skills (Pivot tables, v-look up)
● Some understanding of Payroll Accounting practices and procedures
● Working towards CIPP Technician certificate or equivalent
● Good understanding of employment law and tax regulations and the application to payroll procedures
