About the Role

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Manager- Payroll & Compliances to lead end-to-end employee lifecycle, payroll, and HR compliance processes. This role ensures

seamless employee experience, robust governance, and operational excellence across HR

systems and processes. You will be at the heart of maintaining process integrity, ensuring

compliance, and driving automation for scale and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Employee Lifecycle & Data Management

 Oversee smooth and error-free management of the employee lifecycle (onboarding to exit).

 Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee data in the HRIS with strong data governance.

 Manage issuance of employment letters, exit documents, and related compliance paperwork.

2. Payroll & Compliance Management

 Ensure timely and accurate processing of monthly payroll and full & final settlements.

 Drive statutory and regulatory compliance (PF, PT, TDS, Gratuity, etc.) and timely filing

of returns.

 Partner with Finance to manage payroll accounting entries and reconciliation.

 Manage accounting provisions, JV entries, and other payroll-linked financial reports.

3. Benefits Administration & Audits

 Oversee payroll based employee benefits portfolio (Corporate NPS, FBP, PF, Gratuity).

 Conduct periodic HR process audits to ensure adherence to internal and statutory

requirements.

4. Process Excellence & Governance

 Identify process gaps and drive standardization through SOPs and automation initiatives.

 Partner cross-functionally to automate recurring HR processes and improve reporting

efficiency.

 Establish controls for data, payroll, and benefits accuracy to maintain audit readiness.

 Support HR metrics and analytics to support strategic decision-making and organizational

effectiveness.

5. Performance Management & ESOP Administration

 Manage the annual appraisal process in collaboration with HRBPs.

 Support administration of the ESOP program, ensuring accuracy and transparency in

records.

Requirements

 5–8 years of experience in Payroll Management, preferably in fast-scaling

organizations.

 Strong understanding of statutory compliances, benefits administration, and HR

systems.

 Hands-on experience with HRIS, payroll software, and reporting tools.

 Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and process discipline.

 Strong stakeholder management and execution ownership.
