Location: Chennai

Department: Sales & Business Development

Reporting To: National Head – Institutional Business

Region: Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala & Tamil Nadu

Experience: 10+ Years

Budget: 12–15 LPA

Preference: Female candidate from FMCG or Hospital Sales background

Role Overview

We are hiring a Business Development Manager – Institutional Sales (South Zone) to drive and expand institutional business across major hospitals and healthcare networks. The role requires strong experience in hospital sales, relationship management, and strategic account handling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage institutional sales across corporate hospitals, government hospitals, multispecialty hospitals, and nursing homes
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders: doctors, nursing teams, purchase managers, and hospital administration
  • Drive sales targets, revenue growth, and brand visibility across the South Zone
  • Lead negotiations and finalize commercial terms with hospital chains
  • Manage on-roll and off-roll institutional sales teams
  • Conduct product training sessions for medical staff and influencers
  • Ensure stock and inventory coordination with hospital purchase departments
  • Develop strategies to grow existing accounts and acquire new ones
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends
  • Plan and execute sales promotion activities within hospitals

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate in Science OR MBA in Marketing/Sales
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Hospital Sales, Medical Devices, or Surgical Consumables
  • Strong network and understanding of institutional/hospital ecosystem
  • Excellent negotiation, communication & relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Willing to travel extensively across the region
  • Self-driven, target-oriented and able to manage multiple stakeholders
