As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced 
Odoo Implementation Consultant
 with a strong focus on 
accounting, finance, and taxation modules
, particularly within 
multi-company and multi-country environments
. This role is ideal for a professional who is equally comfortable working with business stakeholders and technical teams, and who has hands-on experience delivering Odoo implementations from requirements gathering through go-live and post-implementation support.

Position Overview

The Odoo Implementation Consultant will be responsible for leading and supporting Odoo ERP implementations with a primary emphasis on 
Accounting, Finance, VAT, ZATCA compliance, and taxation workflows
. The role requires a balanced skill set across 
functional consulting, system configuration, and technical development
. The consultant will work closely with clients to understand business requirements, translate them into Odoo solutions, configure and customize the system as required, and ensure successful deployment and adoption.

This position offers flexibility in working arrangements, with options for 
remote or hybrid work
, depending on project requirements and candidate location.

Key ResponsibilitiesFunctional Consulting & Implementation

• Lead end-to-end Odoo ERP implementations, with a strong focus on 
  Accounting, Finance, and Taxation modules
  .
• Conduct detailed business process analysis and requirements gathering sessions with clients.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications aligned with Odoo best practices.
• Configure and customize Odoo accounting features, including:
• General Ledger
• Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Chart of Accounts
• Journals and fiscal positions
• Bank and cash management
• Financial reporting
• Design and implement 
  multi-company and inter-company accounting structures
  .
• Support 
  multi-currency
   and 
  multi-country accounting
   requirements.

Accounting, VAT, and Compliance

• Implement and support 
  VAT and indirect tax configurations
  , including country-specific tax rules.
• Ensure compliance with 
  ZATCA (Saudi Arabia) e-Invoicing regulations
  , including Phase 1 and Phase 2 requirements where applicable.
• Configure tax reports, audit trails, and statutory compliance features.
• Work closely with finance teams to ensure accounting accuracy and regulatory adherence.
• Support localization requirements for GCC and other regions as required.

Technical Development & Customization

• Perform Odoo development tasks using 
  Python, XML, and PostgreSQL
  .
• Develop and customize Odoo modules to address business-specific requirements.
• Modify and extend accounting workflows, reports, and automation rules.
• Integrate Odoo with third-party systems such as payment gateways, government portals, and external accounting or reporting tools.
• Debug, optimize, and maintain custom code and modules.
• Ensure all customizations follow Odoo development standards and are upgrade-safe where possible.

Project Delivery & Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with project managers, developers, QA teams, and client stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
• Provide guidance and best practices to junior consultants and team members.
• Prepare functional documentation, user guides, and training materials.
• Conduct user training sessions and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Provide post-implementation support, troubleshooting, and system optimization.

Required Skills and Experience

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience
   with Odoo ERP, including implementation and development.
• Strong functional knowledge of 
  Odoo Accounting and Finance modules
  .
• Proven experience in 
  multi-company and multi-entity implementations
  .
• Practical experience with 
  VAT, taxation, and regulatory compliance
  , preferably in GCC or similar jurisdictions.
• Direct experience with 
  ZATCA e-Invoicing compliance
   is highly preferred.
• Solid technical expertise in:
• Python
• XML
• PostgreSQL
• Odoo ORM and framework
• Experience with Odoo versions 14, 15, 16, or later.
• Ability to analyze business processes and propose optimized ERP solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Experience with third-party integrations and API-based systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Odoo certification (Functional or Technical) is an advantage.
• Experience working with international clients and distributed teams.
• Familiarity with other ERP modules such as Inventory, Sales, Purchase, HR, or Payroll.
• Knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting practices.
• Exposure to Agile or structured ERP implementation methodologies.
