We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented 
Finance & Accounts Senior Executive
to lead our financial operations in compliance with the 
Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA)
 framework. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in finance, accounting, and regulatory compliance, particularly within the crypto, fintech, or financial services space. This role involves overseeing financial statements, budgeting, audits, and regulatory reporting — including specialized requirements for digital asset transactions, custody, capital adequacy, and treasury operations.

Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Financial Management

  • Maintain accurate general ledger, books of accounts, and reconciliations across fiat and crypto accounts.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, banking operations, and payroll processing.
  • Oversee revenue recognition, transaction cost accounting, and crypto asset bookkeeping.

Regulatory Compliance (VARA)

  • Prepare and submit all 
    financial and audit reports required by VARA
    , including:
  • Quarterly capital adequacy reporting
  • Wallet segregation reports
  • Custody and asset proof records
  • Annual audited financials aligned with IFRS and VARA standards
  • Maintain proper controls for 90% cold / 10% hot wallet structure and generate related reports.
  • Coordinate with compliance team to support KYT, AML/CFT reporting, and transaction monitoring.

Audit & Treasury Oversight

  • Liaise with external auditors for annual audits and custodial audits.
  • Work closely with crypto custodians (e.g., Fireblocks) and liquidity providers (e.g., Binance) for reconciliation and reporting.
  • Monitor treasury across multiple fiat and crypto wallets, optimizing cash flow and risk exposure.

Reporting & Strategy

  • Generate weekly and monthly reports for management, investors, and VARA as required.
  • Support financial forecasting, budgeting, and business planning.
  • Provide financial input on product pricing, spreads, and trading operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA / ACCA / CA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting/finance experience
    , preferably in fintech, crypto, or regulated financial services.
  • Strong working knowledge of 
    IFRS
     and UAE corporate tax and VAT laws.
  • Proven experience with 
    cryptocurrency accounting, blockchain wallets, and digital asset controls
    .
  • Familiarity with 
    VARA regulatory framework
     is a major advantage.
  • Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho, or ERP), Excel, and crypto portfolio tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and reporting skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience managing finance in a 
    startup or scaling company environment
    .
  • Prior experience working with 
    cloud-based tools
    , Fireblocks, or Chainalysis is a plus.
  • Arabic language proficiency is an added advantage.
  • Experience in
    Forex transactions and international fund movement
    .
  • Knowledge of
    cryptocurrency accounting and compliance frameworks
    .
  • Prior experience supporting Dubai or Middle East region accounting.
