Job Description

Overview of the role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented MI / Analytics Developer to design, build, and maintain robust reporting and analytics solutions that empower stakeholders with actionable insights. This role involves working closely with business users, analysts, and data teams to transform data into compelling dashboards, reports, and models that drive strategic and operational decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize MI reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into scalable, repeatable data solutions.
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyse data from various sources including data warehouses and cloud-based platforms.
  • Automate data retrieval and reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across all reports and dashboards.
  • Maintain and improve data models that support reporting and analytics.
  • Support the development and maintenance of KPI frameworks and performance measurement systems.
  • Participate in UAT and end-user training to ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data, reports, or performance.
Requirements

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in MI development, business intelligence, or analytics roles.
  • Proven experience in building dashboards and reports using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
  • Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data from complex databases.
  • Experience working with data warehouses, ETL processes, and cloud data platforms.
  • Familiarity with Excel and other data visualisation tools and best practices.
  • ServiceNow Reporting

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g., dimensional modelling, star/snowflake schema).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and drive cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis or automation.
  • Knowledge of data governance, metadata, and data catalogue tools.
  • Exposure to Agile methodologies and tools like Jira or DevOps.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements.
