We are looking for a Senior Data Business Analyst to strengthen the advisory services for one of our key clients. The client is a market leading Financial Services organization operating worldwide.

As a Senior Data Business Analyst, you will take the lead role in advising our clients on the design of Data Management solution. Combining your business knowledge and technical skills, you will also support our client to document the current state, define the target state solution and support Data Mesh Architecture. You will be responsible for helping the client create and manage a product backlog. You will be required to participate and lead in sprint planning, prioritisation, and backlog grooming sessions.

Location: Bangalore, India

Salary range: 38 to 42 LAKH

Responsibilities:

• Perform functional and data analysis, supporting decision-making during the design and mapping of data products, mostly in SQL.
• Investigate functional defects in existing data products and reports, identify root cause issues in data, and recommend changes and improvements.
• Collaborate with the technical team during development to address functional and data-related issues.
• Define test strategies and scenarios for changes and new functionalities.
• Conduct functional tests and provide evidence for Product Owner (PO) approval of changes and new functionalities.
• Develop data mastering solutions and define both conceptual and logical data models.
• Collaborate with technical teams to define physical data models.
• Facilitate workshops with Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Data Owners, and Business Owners to understand data challenges and define target state data management solutions.
• Gather, document, and analyse business requirements for data management initiatives.
• Define current state processes and design target state solutions for data management.
• Drive the requirements-gathering process, ensuring alignment with business value and solution architecture.
• Translate business requirements into clear, actionable functional and non-functional requirements.
• Create and manage the product backlog, leading requirement prioritisation and planning.

What we're looking for in our applicants:

• Proficiency in SQL with extensive experience applying it to data analysis, data modelling, and functional testing.
• 10 years of experience in Data, BI/Analytics, and Data Warehousing, including a focus on ETL, Data Management, Data Quality, and Data Governance.
• Comprehensive understanding of data management and governance concepts, methodologies, and tools (knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK is a plus).
• Hands-on experience implementing and managing Data Management platforms, Data Lakes/Warehouses, Data Mapping, Data Modelling, and Data Governance solutions.
• Expertise in Project Management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and PMI.
• Demonstrated experience in building and promoting new Data Governance Target Operating Models (TOM) focusing on Data Quality and Metadata Management.
• Experience with Fact-Based (Fact-Oriented) Modelling Types.
• Knowledge of Dimensional Modelling Types.
• Proficiency in Conceptual and Logical Data Modelling Types.~
