We are seeking an experienced and visionary Open RAN Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in defining and driving the architectural roadmap for our Radio Access Network, ensuring it aligns with business objectives, technological advancements (e.g., 5G, Open RAN), and evolving customer needs. You will lead the design of scalable, high-performing, and cost-effective RAN solutions, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and industry bodies.

What You'll Do:
- Lead O-RAN System Development
- Implement open interfaces (e.g., 7.2x fronthaul, E2, A1) for multi-vendor interoperability.
- Experience in developing LTE/5G protocol layers: MAC/ SCH/ RLC / PDCP / eGTP / RRC
- Experience in MAC-PHY integration, nFAPI / FAPI
- Develop and optimize software for real-time and non-real-time processing in DU and CU.
- Oversee integration of O-RAN components in virtualized (VMware, OpenStack, KVM, ESXi) and containerized (Kubernetes, RHOCP) environments.
- Configure and optimize Container Network Interfaces (CNI) such as OVN, Calico, SR-IOV, Multus, and virtual switching (OVS-DPDK, PCI-Passthrough) for low-latency, high-throughput performance.
- Ensure seamless E2E call flows for 4G, VoLTE, and 5G (NSA/SA) use cases.
- Experience in LTE/5G Air interface, especially on the gNB/eNodeB stack development
- Must have good understanding of 5G-NR 3GPP Specification
- Good programming skills in Linux environment using C/C++ for Linux based target
- Strong understanding of RF propagation, antenna theory, and link budget analysis.
- Proficiency in network design tools and simulation platforms.
- Produce and update high-level and detailed design documentation for RAN hardware, software, and features.
- Define acceptance test and trial requirements for new products and features.
- Develop guidelines and engineering documentation for implementation teams.
- Drive continuous improvement in architectural processes and methodologies.
- Knowledge of cloud-native principles and containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) as applied to RAN.
- Understanding network slicing, edge computing, and IoT integration within RAN.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
Expertise You'll Bring:
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Radio Access Network (RAN) design, planning, optimization, and deployment.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with 4G LTE and 5G NR technologies, including core network interfaces, protocols (e.g., RRC, MAC, PDCP, RLC, SDAP) interfaces (e.g., X2, S1, F1, E1) and deployment scenarios.
- Experience with various RAN technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G) and vendors (e.g., Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei).
- Familiarity with Open RAN (O-RAN) principles and disaggregated network architecture is highly desirable.
- Experience in network planning, optimization, and troubleshooting tools.
- Experience with software development (e.g., Python, Ansible, Robot framework) for RAN automation and network function virtualization (NFV) is a plus.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
