About the Role:
We are seeking a highly driven and experienced
Sales Manager
from the
logistics or freight forwarding industry
to lead business development initiatives, manage key accounts, and expand market presence across the region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in
international and domestic freight services (Air/Ocean/Land)
and strong relationships with shippers, exporters, and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and margin targets.
- Identify and onboard new clients across
exporters, importers, manufacturers, and large corporates
. - Manage existing client accounts to ensure retention and maximize wallet share.
- Promote services across
Air Freight, Sea Freight, Customs Clearance, Warehousing, and Transportation
. - Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and presentations to clients.
- Collaborate with operations and pricing teams for seamless execution.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and potential business opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and support junior sales executives (if applicable).
- Provide weekly/monthly sales reports to management.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- 12+ years of proven sales experience
in
Logistics / Cargo / Freight Forwarding Industry
. - Strong understanding of
import/export documentation, INCOTERMS, and supply chain processes
. - Excellent network with
shipping lines, freight brokers, and major accounts
. - Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Preference to candidates with
experience handling Mumbai / Western India territory
.
Education:
- Graduate in any discipline (MBA in Marketing / Logistics preferred).
- Certifications related to Supply Chain / Freight Forwarding will be an added advantage.
