Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Manual Test Engineer with 6 to 10 years of hands-on experience in software testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong command over manual testing processes, API testing using Postman, and experience across various testing types like regression, smoke, sanity, black-box, and functional testing. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and stability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and execute manual test cases based on business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Perform comprehensive functional, regression, sanity, smoke, and black-box testing.
  • Conduct API testing using Postman to validate request/response structures and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with development and product teams to understand features and technical implementations.
  • Identify, document, and manage defects using tools like JIRA, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct thorough debugging and root cause analysis in coordination with developers.
  • Maintain and update test documentation including test cases, test data, and test results.
  • Participate in test planning, requirement reviews, and sprint planning meetings.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases and contribute to test process improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 6 to 10 years of manual testing experience in software QA.
  • Strong hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman).
  • Excellent knowledge of SDLC and STLC processes.
  • In-depth understanding of different testing techniques including regression, smoke, sanity, functional, and black-box testing.
  • Solid experience in defect management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
  • Good debugging skills and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or HP ALM.
  • Exposure to automation testing tools is a plus (not mandatory).
