About The Role
Contraband's ambition is to create fragrances that make people feel something real — desire, nostalgia, power, restraint. As Fragrance Evaluator, you'll be the bridge between consumer insight, creative direction, and perfumer artistry. You'll help define what Contraband smells like tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Decode Trends: Track global and local olfactive movements to identify white spaces and inspire Contraband's next launches.
  • Build Our Scent Library: Curate and catalogue fragrances by note, mood, and market tier to guide future product creation.
  • Steer Development: Translate briefs into olfactive direction, evaluate submissions, and help shape winning fragrances within set budgets.
  • Turn Insights Into Smells: Work with consumer and brand teams to recommend future olfactive territories based on data and intuition.
  • Ensure Excellence: Oversee evaluations, benchmark tests, and compliance for stability, performance, and IFRA alignment.

You'll Fit Right In If You

  • Have 4–8 years in fragrance evaluation or olfactive marketing (fine fragrances).
  • Speak the language of both perfumers and consumers — creative yet analytical.
  • Are obsessed with detail and documentation.
  • Understand cost structures, stability, and compliance, but still believe fragrance is art.
