The Role

The Billing Team Lead will oversee billing operations within the Shared Service Centre (SSC) and working. Working back shift, this role is responsible for managing the team, ensuring timely and accurate generation of invoices, compliance with contractual terms, and resolution of billing discrepancies. The Team Lead will develop strategies to optimize the billing process, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure adherence to EnerMechs financial policies and regulatory requirements. They will collaborate with global entities to ensure accurate invoicing and provide meaningful data and analysis to support revenue assurance and reduce billing errors.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the billing team by setting clear objectives, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Billing Accuracy: Oversee the preparation and issuance of invoices, ensuring compliance with contracts, purchase orders, and company policies.
  • Dispute Resolution: Act as the point of escalation for complex billing issues and work with clients to resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements to enhance billing efficiency, leveraging technology and automation where possible.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze billing reports, including revenue summaries and error tracking. Provide insights and recommendations based on KPIs and data trends.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal controls. Conduct audits to maintain the integrity of billing processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to support business objectives and improve the order-to-cash cycle.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as required.

  • Strong communication skills, confidence, and ability to interact professionally across all organizational levels.

Personal Qualities:

  • Effective people management, confident presentation skills, problem-solving ability, and a collaborative approach.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Administration or Finance; advanced accounting or financial qualifications preferred.
  • M com, MBA (Preferred)

Experience & Competence:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Team Handling
  • Commercial administration and billing expertise
  • Experience reviewing contracts and purchase orders
  • Proficiency in ERP systems for billing activities; prior knowledge of Microsoft ERPs preferred
