We are seeking an experienced, analytical, and detail-driven Senior Manager Billing to oversee the organizations billing function at the project level. The role demands strong expertise in contractor billing management and cross-functional coordination. The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical knowledge with the ability to drive accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all billing-related processes.

As a Senior Manager Billing, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Billing Verification & Certification

  • Lead end-to-end verification, certification, and processing of contractor/vendor bills and invoices as per contractual terms, approved BOQs, and site measurements.
  • Validate executed quantities, ensure correct application of rates, and certify recoveries, retentions, and advances.
  • Ensure timely processing and submission of payment certificates after thorough technical and commercial checks.
  • Review subcontractor and supplier bills, verify measurement sheets, and ensure reconciliation of materials issued vs. consumed.

Quantity Measurement, Cost Analysis & BOQ Management

  • Oversee accurate quantity take-offs, joint measurements, and reconciliation of theoretical vs. actual consumption.
  • Ensure all measurements and classifications follow industry standards and approved methodologies.
  • Perform cost audits of work executed and flag deviations to the project & EPC head.

Variation Management & Claims

  • Analyze variation claims from contractors/vendors, validate entitlement, and support negotiation and closure.
  • Certify extra items, non-tendered items, and deviations in compliance with contractual provisions.
  • Coordinate with Planning, QS, Contracts, and Site Teams to ensure variations are captured, justified, and approved.

Cost Monitoring, Reporting & Cash Flow

  • Monitor project billing progress, committed costs, and cash-flow impacts.
  • Develop and maintain project-wise cash flow charts aligned with construction schedules.
  • Prepare monthly cost reports, billing summaries, and MIS for management review.

Coordination with Internal & External Stakeholders

  • Work closely with the Planning, Contracts, QS, and Project Execution teams for smooth billing operations.
  • Interface with contractors for measurement confirmation, discrepancy resolution, documentation, and timely submission of bills.
  • Support audits (internal/external) with required technical and financial documentation.

Process Excellence, Compliance & Systems

  • Ensure full compliance with contractual, statutory, and organizational billing requirements.
  • Lead ERP (FarVision) entries for budgets, work orders, running bills, variation approvals, and payment certificates.
  • Continuously improve billing processes to enhance accuracy, transparency, and turnaround time.

Core Requirements

  • BE / B. Tech. Civil Engineering. Post Graduate qualification in QS preferred.
  • 1518 years of experience in billing, quantity surveying, and cost control in real estate or EPC organizations.
  • Proven ability to manage large volume of bills with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (preferably FarVision) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and coordination skills
