A leading organisation in the PET recycling industry with corporate operations in Surat and large-scale manufacturing facilities outside the city. The company specialises in chemically recycled PET (Cr-PET) resins used in bottle-to-bottle and textile-to-textile applications. With strong installed capacity and recent US FDA approval for food-grade resins, the group is recognised for its commitment to sustainability, compliance, and innovation.

Role Overview

The Accounts Head will lead the accounting and compliance function at the corporate office. The position requires expertise in manufacturing sector accounting, GST reconciliation, ROC compliance, and advanced Excel reporting.

Reporting structure: The Accounts Head reports to the Group CA, who reports to the Group CFO.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Financial Reporting

  • Oversee the complete accounting cycle including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Provisions, Bank Reconciliation, and Fixed Assets.

  • Prepare and review financial statements, trial balance, and schedules on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

Tax and Compliance

  • Manage GST reconciliation between books and GST portal, ensuring timely filing of GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.

  • Oversee TDS/TCS compliance including deductions, challans, and returns.

  • Coordinate with the Company Secretary to ensure timely ROC filings and maintenance of secretarial documentation.

Audit and Controls

  • Liaise with statutory, tax, and internal auditors to ensure smooth audit closure.

  • Maintain compliance documentation and ensure readiness for inspections.

  • Strengthen internal controls, standard operating procedures, and accounting policies.

MIS and Analysis

  • Create MIS dashboards for management covering P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and working capital.

  • Support budgeting, variance analysis, and cost review exercises.

  • Drive accuracy and efficiency in ERP systems and Excel-based reporting.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in accounting and finance with at least 2 recent years as a Senior Accountant in a manufacturing company.

  • Education: B.Com or M.Com; CA Inter preferred (CA qualification not mandatory).

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proven GST reconciliation and compliance knowledge.

    • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and dashboards.

    • Familiarity with ROC compliance and ability to coordinate with CS.

    • ERP/Tally Prime/SAP working knowledge.

  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
