  • On-site Client Visits: Conduct regular field visits to clients with delinquent accounts to discuss overdue payments and negotiate repayment.
  • Payment Collection & Processing: Collect cash, cheques, or facilitate digital payments during field visits, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and deposited as per company procedures.
  • Negotiation & Problem Solving: Negotiate payment plans and settlements with debtors, assessing their financial situations to structure feasible repayment schedules.
  • Account Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor assigned accounts, track collection activity and progress, and provide daily/weekly reports to management on collection status and performance metrics.
  • Dispute & Inquiry Resolution: Address customer inquiries, investigate billing discrepancies, and resolve complaints related to payments, coordinating with internal teams (e.g., billing, finance, sales) as needed.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions, payment commitments, and collection efforts in the company's CRM or database system. Ensure all activities comply with relevant debt collection laws and company policies.
  • Skip Tracing (if required): Utilize various tools and information to locate clients who have moved or changed contact information if necessary
  • Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience: Proven experience in field collections, debt recovery, sales, or a customer-facing role.
  • Mobility: Must have a valid driver's license (or relevant local certification) and reliable transportation (e.g., a bike/two-wheeler for the India market) to cover the assigned territory efficiently.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle difficult and sometimes confrontational conversations professionally and empathetically.
  • Negotiation: Strong negotiation, persuasion, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and meet targets in a dynamic environment.
  • Integrity: High level of integrity to handle sensitive financial information and cash transactions responsibly.
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of MS Office and experience using collection software or CRM systems for record keeping.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in finance or a related field is a plus
