*Key Responsibilities*

*Imports*

Oversee the import cycle from order placement to delivery.

Approve and monitor purchase requirements raised by procurement; ensure accurate and timely issuance of POs by the team.

Maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate shipping terms, timelines, and costs.

Track shipment schedules and proactively resolve delays or exceptions.

Supervise clearance processes with freight forwarders and customs agents.

Evaluate duty structures, tariff impacts, and suggest cost optimization strategies.

*Exports*

Oversee and guide the preparation of export documentation and compliance requirements.

Ensure smooth coordination with customers, logistics providers, and internal departments for timely dispatch of export orders.

Negotiate with shipping lines, forwarders, and logistics partners for best rates and service levels.

Ensure compliance with DGFT, customs, and other statutory regulations.

Drive initiatives to streamline export operations and improve turnaround times.

*Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities*

Develop and implement EXIM policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks.

Identify cost-saving opportunities in freight, warehousing, and customs handling.

Provide management with regular MIS reports, shipment status updates, and cost analyses.

Keep abreast of changing global trade laws, regulations, and best practices.

Lead, mentor, and upskill the EXIM team to ensure operational excellence.

Act as the primary point of contact for senior management on all EXIM-related matters.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
