Job Title: Junior Accountant – Garment Manufacturing

Location: Howrah, Shibpur

Industry: Garment Manufacturing

Salary Range: ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per month

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant with 2–3 years of experience in accounting for a garment manufacturing company. The candidate should be proficient in purchase and sales entries, e-way bill generation, GST preparation, and bank reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting Operations:
  • Enter purchase and sales transactions in accounting software (Tally).
  • Maintain accurate ledgers and financial records.
  • Tax & Compliance:
  • Prepare GST calculations and assist in filing returns.
  • Generate and manage e-way bills for dispatch and logistics.
  • Bank Reconciliation:
  • Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statement (BRS) on a regular basis.
  • Monitor payment and receipt transactions.
  • Inventory & Vendor Coordination:
  • Assist in purchase-related accounting and inventory control.
  • Liaise with vendors for invoice verification and payment status.
  • Reporting:
  • Prepare daily and monthly accounting reports as required by management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: B.Com or equivalent in Accounting/Finance.
  • Experience: 2–3 years in accounting (manufacturing sector experience preferred).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP and MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of GST, e-way bill, and other statutory compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
