**Job Title: Junior Accountant**

**Location**: HOWRAH FLOUR MILL, KOLKATA

As a Junior Accountant with experience in manufacturing units, your primary responsibility will be to assist in the financial management and accounting processes of our organization. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, handling daily accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and standards. Proficiency in Tally software and experience in managing invoices, ledger maintenance, data entry, and journal entries are essential for this role.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Maintain Daily Accounts**: Record all financial transactions accurately and promptly, including purchases, sales, payments, and receipts.
- **Invoice Management**: Prepare and manage invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness of details. Coordinate with relevant departments for invoice approvals and timely billing.
- **Ledger Maintenance**: Maintain general ledger accounts by reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies. Ensure proper coding and classification of expenses and revenues.
- **Data Entry**: Enter financial data into the accounting system accurately and efficiently. Verify data for completeness and correctness.
- **Journal Entries**: Assist in preparing and posting journal entries to record business transactions. Maintain supporting documentation for journal entries.
- **Bank Reconciliation**: Reconcile bank statements with the general ledger to ensure accuracy of financial records and identify discrepancies.
- **Inventory Accounting**: Assist in inventory accounting processes, including recording inventory transactions, conducting physical counts, and reconciling inventory balances.
- **Financial Reporting**: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- **Audit Support**: Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing audit schedules, retrieving documents, and addressing auditor inquiries.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, accounting principles, and company policies. Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance.
- Proven experience working as a Junior Accountant in a manufacturing environment.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- **Proficiency in Tally software is essential**. Experience with other accounting software is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.

**Salary**: ₹12,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
