Responsibilities

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for providing support to the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks and ensuring that the company's financial operations run smoothly.

Bookkeeping and Ledger Management:

Maintain and update the General Ledger using Tally ERP/Prime software.

Record daily financial transactions accurately, including receipts, payments, and journal entries.

Perform bank reconciliation statements regularly to ensure accuracy between the company's records and bank statements.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Process and verify vendor invoices and expense reports for payment.

Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of dues from customers.

Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements.

Tax Filing (GST):

Assist in the preparation and accurate filing of Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.).

Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and deadlines.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

Maintain an organized and accessible physical and digital filing system for all financial documents, including invoices, vouchers, and statutory records.

Prepare basic financial reports and summaries using MS-Office tools, primarily Excel.

Operational Support & Stakeholder Management

Customer & Supplier Handling:

Serve as a point of contact for resolving basic financial queries from both customers and suppliers.

Coordinate with suppliers for invoice clarification and payment status updates.

Maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders through effective communication.

Administrative Tasks:

Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.

Handle any other ad-hoc accounting duties as required by the Finance Manager.
