Job title: National Service Head (Commercial Vehicle)

Location: Hyderabad

Reports to: VP / Director - Aftermarket / Sales & Marketing

The National Service Head (Commercial Vehicle/Heavy Equipment) is responsible for defining and implementing the service strategy to maximize customer satisfaction, retention, and service revenue across all commercial vehicle product lines. The role involves leading and mentoring a nationwide network of service centers and field teams, optimizing service processes, and ensuring operational excellence and profitability.

Role & responsibilities

Strategic planning and business growth

  • Define and execute a comprehensive service strategy for the commercial vehicle segment, aligned with the company's overall business objectives.

Team leadership and development

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Regional Service Managers and service staff across the country.

Dealer and network management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the dealer network to ensure effective service delivery across all touchpoints.

Customer satisfaction and retention

  • Ensure that all service processes are geared toward delivering an exceptional customer experience and improving the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI).

  • Define and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all service activities, from service initiation to vehicle pick-up.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA is often preferred).
  • 15+ years of experience in the automotive industry, with at least 5 - 8 years in a senior after-sales or service leadership role for a commercial vehicle OEM.
