Job Overview
We are seeking a self-driven and dynamic Project Sales Engineer to join our growing team in Mumbai. This role involves sales, business development, and client management for projects in capital goods, air piping, and compressor systems. The ideal candidate will be proactive in identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and driving project-based sales from inquiry to order closure.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Lead Generation
- Identify, qualify, and generate project inquiries in the capital goods, air piping, and compressor sectors.
- Develop and expand customer networks within the assigned geographic belt (Thane to Navi Mumbai & Palghar to Vapi).
Client Engagement
- Meet with clients to understand technical and commercial requirements.
- Present solutions for automation systems, compressors, and modular pipeline projects.
- Provide technical consultation and product demonstrations to clients.
Offer Preparation & Negotiation
- Prepare and submit commercial offers, quotations, and proposals based on client requirements.
- Coordinate with internal technical teams to ensure accurate costing and feasibility.
- Negotiate and close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Site Visits & Travel
- Conduct regular client visits, site inspections, and presentations across the assigned regions.
- Travel frequently to meet customers, understand site conditions, and follow up on project opportunities.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with Project Management and Technical teams for project execution.
- Maintain detailed records of leads, client communications, and opportunities in the CRM system.
- Provide weekly and monthly sales reports to management.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Education:
- Any Graduate (Engineering background preferred but not mandatory).
Experience:
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in project sales, industrial equipment sales, or business development.
- Prior experience in capital goods, air piping, compressor systems, or automation solutions will be an advantage.
Skills:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings/specifications and align them with client needs.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM tools.
- Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel extensively across assigned regions.
