Role & responsibilities

  1. Project Planning and Strategy:

  2. Developing the overall project strategy, execution plan, and governance structure.

  3. Defining project scope, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  4. Establishing timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  5. Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.

  6. Ensuring alignment with company strategy, goals, and regulatory requirements.

  7. Design and Engineering:

  8. Overseeing the design and engineering phases, ensuring they meet project specifications and standards.

  9. Reviewing and approving design documents, drawings, and specifications.
  10. Managing interfaces between different engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, electrical, etc.).

  11. Coordinating with external consultants and vendors.

  12. Procurement and Construction:

  13. Managing the procurement process for equipment, materials, and services.

  14. Overseeing construction activities, ensuring they are executed safely and efficiently.
  15. Monitoring construction progress and addressing any issues or delays.

  16. Ensuring quality control and adherence to safety standards during construction.

  17. Commissioning and Handover:

  18. Developing and executing commissioning plans for all plant equipment and systems.

  19. Overseeing the testing, startup, and performance validation of the new facility.
  20. Ensuring all regulatory requirements are met before handover.

  21. Managing the handover process to the operations team.

  22. Team Management and Stakeholder Relations:

  23. Building and leading a high-performing project team.

  24. Providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.
  25. Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities.

  26. Communicating project status and progress to stakeholders.

  27. Financial Management:

  28. Monitoring project expenditures and ensuring they are within budget.

  29. Developing and managing cost control measures.
  30. Forecasting future costs and managing variances.
