Senior Designer

A leading luxury hospitality uniform design studio is seeking a visionary Senior Uniform Designer to join its creative team in Dubai or Gurgaon.

This role demands a designer who can think beyond convention one who merges fashion aesthetics with functionality, creating distinctive uniforms that reflect the soul of luxury hotels and resorts around the world.

From contemporary city collections to breezy resort ensembles, the designer will conceptualize and develop garments that are as elegant and refined as they are comfortable and durable. Think of Zaras' modern simplicity, Massimo Dutti's polished minimalism, and Greek Archaic Koris' effortless drape, all adapted for the unique rhythm of luxury hospitality life.

Key Responsibilities
Creative Conceptualization

• Develop original, fashion-forward uniform concepts for high-end hotels, resorts, and branded residences.
• Translate brand identities and architectural moods into wearable design stories.
• Prepare mood boards, design sketches, and CAD illustrations that balance global aesthetics with cultural sensitivity.
• Incorporate storytelling and material artistry from elegant tailoring to fluid resort silhouettes.

Design Development & Practicality

• Design uniforms that balance creativity with function, ensuring comfort, movement, and climate suitability.
• Select and design using in-house fabrics, ensuring compatibility with frequent laundering and tropical or urban wear conditions.
• Ensure all designs meet standards of fit, finish, wash performance, and longevity.
• Create detailed technical drawings and specification sheets for production clarity.

Technical & Production Collaboration

• Work closely with pattern makers and production teams to bring designs from sketch to final prototype.
• Review samples for proportion, fit, and construction details, making technical adjustments as required.
• Oversee fittings and sample approvals to maintain design integrity and wearability.

Brand & Aesthetic Alignment

• Uphold the studios design ethos refined, intelligent, and timeless.
• Adapt design styles across multiple client identities from minimalist urban hotels to artistic island resorts.
• Contribute to an evolving global uniform design archive that defines contemporary luxury hospitality.

Presentation & Client Engagement

• Create and present design proposals, concept decks, and fabric stories to clients and project teams.
• Participate in client feedback sessions and ensure design solutions meet operational needs and brand values.
• Maintain a strong awareness of international fashion and hospitality trends to anticipate client expectations.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong creative direction and a refined eye for silhouette, proportion, and fabrication.
• Mastery of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD, and digital sketching tools.
• Deep understanding of fabrics and finishes suitable for tropical, coastal, and urban climates.
• Proven ability to merge fashion innovation with uniform functionality.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a design-for-production mindset.

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 5+ years experience in fashion or luxury hospitality uniform design.
• Prior exposure to premium fashion brands (e.g., Zara, Massimo Dutti, COS, or bespoke tailoring).
• Experience in fabric development, fit evaluation, and production processes.
• Previous collaboration with international hotel brands or resort operators preferred.
