Job Title: CAM Engineer (SOLIDCAM)

Location: Greater Noida

Department: Manufacturing

Reports To: Plant Head

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CAM Engineer to develop and optimize CNC programs for manufacturing operations using CAM software. The ideal candidate will be responsible for translating design data into machine-readable instructions, ensuring precision, efficiency, and manufacturability in machining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and validate CNC programs using SOLIDCAM.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to interpret technical drawings and convert them into machining strategies.
  • Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for materials and operations.
  • Simulate and verify tool paths to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and safety.
  • Support setup and troubleshooting on the shop floor during initial runs or production issues.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time, enhance tool life, and increase quality.
  • Maintain documentation including tool lists, setup sheets, and program revisions.
  • Work closely with CNC machinists to ensure smooth program implementation.
  • Stay current with latest advancements in CAM software and machining technologies.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Tool Engineering or equivalent.
  • 6-8 years of experience in CAM programming for CNC machines (3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis preferred).
  • Strong hands-on experience with SOLIDCAM.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, GD&T, and material properties.
  • Knowledge of CNC machine operation, tooling, and fixturing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Exposure to CAD/CAM integration and PLM systems.
  • Familiarity with ISO/AS9100 or similar quality systems.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Must have own conveyance
  • Must be residing or ready to shift to Greater Noida

Salary offered:

  • 50k-60k CTC. Higher salary may be considered for deserving candidates.
