Job Title: Teacher Mentor / Resource Person (Science / Maths )
Location: Anekal Block, Karnataka
Experience: 1 - 7 Years
Job Type: Full Time
Industry: NGO / Social Services / Education
Functional Area: Teaching / Education / Training
Education:
- Postgraduate in Science (M.Sc), Mathematics (M.Sc), or English (MA)
- B.Ed preferred
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Mentor government school teachers to adopt experiential teaching methods in Science, Maths, or English
- Identify gaps in student learning and provide feedback to the content development team
- Conduct and co-facilitate teacher training programs at the Block and Cluster level
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders including HMs, CRPs, and BRPs
- Conduct subject fairs involving teachers, students, and parents
- Administer baseline and endline assessments for students and pre/post tests for teachers
- Regularly prepare detailed reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual)
- Document best practices, success stories, photos, and videos
- Coordinate with educational department offices and participate in reviews
Key Skills Required:
- Passion for education and social change
- Strong communication skills in Kannada and English
- Knowledge of pedagogy in Science, Maths
- Reflective thinking and emotional intelligence
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong documentation skills
- Willingness to travel daily within Anekal Block to visit schools
