Our client is leading fund management company with presence in UAE, India and Mauritius.

Location: Mumbai

Required experience: maximum 4 to 5 years

Role: Manager /Senior Manager Internal Control Unit

The Manager - Internal Control Unit will oversee compliance and risk management across advisory services, derivative clearing operations, and GIFT City Fund Administration. This role is critical in ensuring alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, while building and maintaining a strong internal control environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust internal control systems in accordance with both local and international regulatory requirements.
  • Drive the organizations efforts to secure third-party certifications such as SAS 70 (SOC 1), ensuring alignment with internal policies and highlighting potential risk areas.
  • Actively identify and assess risks, and design effective mitigation strategies.
  • Continuously enhance the companys enterprise risk management framework.
  • Oversee regular SOC 1 audit processes and ensure strict operational controls are in place.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on internal controls and risk management best practices.
  • Conduct periodic internal audits across departments to ensure consistent compliance with regulatory and policy standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports on control effectiveness and risk status for senior leadership.
  • Play a key role in establishing and expanding the ICU team.
