VP - Design & Liaison
will be an integral part of the Leadership team at Nahar Group

and will be responsible for providing strategic direction to all projects. The incumbent will

be the conduit between the department and the management. The responsibilities (not

limited to) will include inter alia:

  • Work with the management to discuss and finalize the original conceptual design brief for each project.
  • Ensure that the conceptual design brief document is prepared by the team and approved by the management and sent to the approved Design Architect.
  • Co-ordinate with the Design Architect and the management to get the Concept Design finalized.
  • Conduct a detailed review of the concept design to ensure alignment with the design intent of the project, local development rules / regulations, space optimization requirements, operator's specifications etc.
  • Direct the department to get the preliminary cost estimates done by the Quantity Surveyor.
  • Manage the overall budget and budgetary allocation for various phases of the project and ensure adherence to the same through the design and construction phase.
  • Ensure that the approved concept design is further worked upon by Liaison Architect (Municipal Drawing), Structural, MEP, EC and other consultants which are required for the advancement the project. Advise the team and clarify all queries pertaining to all submissions / approval drawings for the entire life cycle of the project.
  • Evaluate & appoint consultants for various projects in accordance with the approved list of consultants.
  • Review the reports for tracking activities across several phases such as concept design, schematic design, design development, GFC drawings, actual construction, handover, etc.
  • Oversee all technical activities relating to architectural and engineering projects, including directing the design team, reviewing drafts and computer models, and approving design changes.
  • Assess projects for feasibility by researching and analyzing associated technology, design requirements, governmental regulations, and market demand.
  • Innovate and develop new standards, policies, and procedures for architectural design and engineering work as necessary to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.

Candidate should have a minimum of 25 years of post-qualification experience in the field of Architectural Design out of which 15 years should have been in the Real Estate Industry in the Luxury Residential segment. He / she should be a go getter with excellent spoken and written language skills.
