Position: Purchase Manager – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Department: Purchase & Procurement

Reporting To: Director / General Manager – Operations

Experience: 8–12 years (at least 3 years in pharma procurement)

Qualification: B.Pharm / B.Sc / MBA (Supply Chain / Materials Management)

Job Purpose:

To manage and control the procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, and services required for pharmaceutical manufacturing, ensuring cost efficiency, timely availability, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute procurement of raw materials, excipients, and packaging materials as per production schedules.

Develop and maintain relationships with approved vendors and suppliers.

Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts to achieve cost efficiency.

Ensure procurement aligns with GMP, FDA, and audit requirements.

Coordinate with production, QA/QC, stores, and accounts for smooth material flow.

Monitor vendor performance, lead time, and quality compliance.

Manage inventory control, re-order levels, and material planning.

Prepare and maintain purchase orders, rate contracts, and procurement MIS.

Identify and qualify new vendors to support product development and diversification.

Ensure compliance with company SOPs, documentation, and audit requirements.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹30, ₹35,000.00 per month
