Position-  AGM/Head - Purchase

Qualification- or similar relevant fields

Experience- 12 to 20 Years

Annual Package: 12 Lacs to 18 Lacs p.a.

Location: Ajmer (Rajasthan)

Core Responsibilities:

1. Extensive experience in purchasing steel and fabrication-related raw materials.
2. Responsible for procurement of mechanical items, fabrication materials, Angles, Channels, MS Sheets, Girders, welding equipment, electrical items, etc.
3. Compare supplier proposals based on pricing, technical specifications, and quality.
4. Negotiate with vendors to achieve competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
5. Ensure timely delivery of materials and maintain strong vendor relationships.
6. Manage systems for tracking shipments, inventory levels, and material supply.
7. Lead process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and team capabilities.
8. Develop and implement commodity inventory strategies aligned with supply chain needs.
9. Monitor market trends to optimize inventory and control costs.
10. Evaluate, select, and develop new vendors.
11. Maintain ongoing relationships with suppliers and stay updated on industry developments.
12. Ensure adherence to procurement policies and smooth functioning of the Purchase Department.
13. Create regional procurement strategies that are innovative and cost-effective.
14. Identify and onboard new vendors offering best quality at minimum cost.
15. Proficient use of ERP/SAP or similar procurement software.
16. Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules to benefit the company.
17. Drive cost-reduction initiatives without affecting quality standards.
18. Monitor purchase budgets and ensure compliance with financial targets.
19. Minimize stock obsolescence and ensure accurate material planning through ERP/MRP.
20. Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, Finance, and Logistics teams.
21. Prepare MIS reports on procurement, cost savings, vendor performance, etc.
22. Participate in strategic planning and management review meetings.
23. Oversee procurement of raw materials, consumables, tools, and capital goods.
24. Issue purchase orders aligned with production and project requirements.
25. Ensure timely material availability to avoid production downtime.
26. Lead, guide, and manage the entire Purchase Team.
