Job Description:

Assistant Vice President Accounts & Finance. The role involves overseeing consolidated financial reporting, statutory compliance, audits, taxation, and ERP integration for a listed NBFC regulated under RBI guidelines. The AVP will ensure robust financial controls, accurate MIS reporting, and governance excellence while supporting business growth and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and timely closure of consolidated financial statements in compliance with IND AS, SEBI, and RBI regulations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely closure of books of accounts and integration across multiple ERP systems.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly MIS reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis, including RBI returns applicable to Middle Layer NBFCs.
  • Manage internal and statutory audits, ensuring robust documentation and effective resolution of audit queries.
  • Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and corporate governance standards across business units.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis, competitor benchmarking, and provide insights through structured MIS reporting.
  • Lead the creation of Risk Metrix and oversee Expected Credit Loss (ECL) methodology.
  • Ensure compliance with direct and indirect taxation, including assessments, scrutiny, and audits.

Key Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) – mandatory; MBA (Finance) or CFA – preferred.
  • 14–16 years of progressive finance experience, with a minimum of 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Strong exposure to NBFCs, FinTech, or regulated financial services.
  • Expertise in IND AS, SEBI, RBI regulations, taxation, and financial governance.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP integration, MIS reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
