We are looking for a professional with expertise in Gypsum sourcing (Natural, FGD, Chemical etc.) and International Logistics to lead end-to-end material procurement and optimize supply chain operations. The candidate should have strong knowledge of vessel chartering, freight negotiations, and global trade compliance with the ability to ensure cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.

Role & responsibilities

  • Gypsum Sourcing: End-to-end sourcing of Natural Gypsum, FGD, and Chemical Gypsum from both international and domestic suppliers.
  • Vessel Chartering & Freight Negotiation: Handle Time Charter / Voyage Charter agreements; negotiate freight rates for dry bulk, break bulk, and container movements. Prepare voyage cost and demurrage calculations.
  • Logistics Strategy Development: Design and implement logistics strategies for import/export considering cost, time, and risk.
  • Transportation & Supply Chain Coordination: Oversee vessel scheduling, port operations, customs clearance, and multimodal transportation.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to international trade laws, customs procedures, and shipping regulations.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost reduction through rate negotiations, process improvements, and alternate logistics solutions.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct logistics performance analysis, prepare MIS reports, and provide insights for management decisions.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and manage relationships with ports, shipping lines, charterers, freight forwarders, and industry vendors.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process excellence projects to improve efficiency and reduce cost.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Graduate / Post Graduate in Shipping / Logistics / International Trade from a reputed institute.
  • Minimum 3-7 years of experience in Procurement / Logistics / Freight Forwarding within Manufacturing/Shipping/Cement industries.
  • Strong expertise in vessel chartering, negotiation of freight rates, and logistics planning.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs processes, and export-import documentation.
  • Proficiency in logistics/ERP software, with strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation abilities.
