About SoCoffee
India grows some of the finest coffee in the world, yet much of it still gets traded as a commodity. Quality is often compromised during processing, traceability is limited, and small and mid-sized growers rarely get to see their end product.
At
SoCoffee
, we're building the
smart supply chain for Indian coffee
. We work directly with small and mid-sized growers, take their ripe harvests, and process them in our
data-driven factory in Coorg
, designed to transform what could have been commodity coffee into
specialty-grade lots
. From there, we take it to both India and the world through products, experiences, and storytelling that celebrate traceability, craft, and quality.
We've been
bootstrapped for the past two years
, supported by government schemes such as

We're now closing our

Karum, the founder is a 3rd generation coffee grower, an ex entrepreneur and has been deeply involved in the startup-tech space.

About the role
This is a
Content role
that blends storytelling, strategy, and execution.
You'll help design and execute SoCoffee's content strategy across platforms, from long-form coffee stories and coffee explainers to social media narratives of people in Indian coffee and brand campaigns.
You'll work closely with the
Founder and the Founder's Office team
to tighten the brand & content strategy, translate that into an executable calendar and drive the content engine.
This is an entry-level, high-ownership role designed for someone who loves
content with depth

, and thrives on turning ideas into well-crafted, meaningful work.

- Natural pulse for content:
You have a sharp sense of what good content feels like - across writing, social, or video. You're curious about trends, formats, and storytelling styles that resonate.
2. Product-oriented thinker:
You approach content like a system: who's the ICP, what's the hook, what's the value, what's the outcome. You balance creativity with objectivity and think in terms of impact.
3. Deep interest in coffee:
You don't have to be a coffee expert on day one, but you have to want to become one. You'll interview growers, roasters, and innovators, and bring their stories alive with nuance and authenticity.
4. Strong program management:
You're disciplined with calendars, coordination, and execution, ensuring every piece of content moves from idea to publish on time and in quality.
5. Craft + AI fluency:
You're a strong writer who can adapt tone and structure across formats. You're also excited about using
AI tools
effectively from idea generation to research to content production and use them effectively on an everyday basis
6. Hands on:
You can design a creative on Canva if needed. You can edit a reel using one of the editing tools if needed. Not a part of your role but you have the ability to do it and hence work effectively with designers and editors
What this role involves
- Content calendar ownership:
Plan and manage the content pipeline across media, social, and internal narratives.
- Content creation:
Own each piece of content that goes out with a very strong pov and clarity on what the intended objective is
- Execution:
Coordinate with design and video freelancers to ensure every piece of content meets brand standards.
- Brand voice:
Help shape and maintain SoCoffee's tone and narrative across channels.
- Community building:
Convert content into conversation in well defined niches
- Performance analysis:
Review what's working, what's not, and iterate based on reach, engagement, and qualitative feedback.
- Collaboration:
Work closely with the founder's office on campaigns, partnerships, and thought-leadership initiatives.
Who you are
- 0–2 years of experience in
content creation, communication, or community oriented roles
. You have some sample content to showcase either at a personal or professional level
- Strong foundation in
copywriting, research, and storytelling
.
- Familiarity with
social and digital platforms
(Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube).
- Good coordination and project management skills.
- Interest in or willingness to go deep into
coffee
- Experience or interest in using
AI tools
across the board
- Bonus: Basic design & video sensibility
