About the role and what you'll be doing

Do you get excited by joining a team on the cutting edge of legacy modernization? In this role, you will be working with a team of experts responsible for delivering a quality product to the client on schedule. Ensono migrates legacy applications to modern platforms. You will be taking a key role on projects, improving the core classes for the client's modernized environment, and mentoring other team members.

Responsibilities:

• Broad range of Mainframe expertise including solid analytical skills in combination with strong application development. Code and Test Cobol/DB2 programs.
• Developing our libraries for modernized environments
• Setting up testing to ensure that modernized programs function correctly.
• Analyzing problems found during testing and applying code corrections and improvements.
• Coordinating solutions with the team while identifying and implementing process improvements to boost productivity.
• Providing consultation and teachable moments to more junior members of the team

Required Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in testing Mainframe Applications,
• Expertise in both Manual and Automation testing, and a strong understanding of JCLs.
• Knowledge of coding and automation is essential.
• Expertise in writing test cases and test strategies
• Experience with legacy languages or databases - Mainframe, COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, IDEAL, Datacom

Preferred Qualifications

• Problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• Good to have experience with -
  • Object-oriented programming in Java, C#, or similar languages
  • Eclipse or Visual Studio
  • Spring or .NET
  • Relational Databases (SQL/MYSQL/ORACLE)
• Ability to mentor junior colleagues on the team

Undergraduate/Post Graduate degree, coding boot camp certification, or equivalent experience
